Family-focused intervention

Topic Progress:

When working with an infant you are also working with parents, caregivers, siblings, grandparents and community agencies such as day care.

Interventions are most likely to be successfully carried out at home if:

  • Goals are realistic, generated by, and perceived as important by the family
  • The purpose is understood and can be easily adapted to fit into existing routines.
  • They are motivating for the family and infant

Repetition ( or 'Dosage' ) provides greatest opportunity for neuroplastic change.
