Topic Progress:

Burns Camps are programs run by organisations for children and adults who have sustained a burn.

Burns camp provides a safe and supportive environment where young people can share their own burn experience with others. In addition to building resilience skills, self-esteem and self-awareness skills, burns camp allow young people to access peer support, challenging themselves in physical and social situations, manage personal frustrations and fears as well as develop personal leadership skills. For further information regarding burns camp see the Burns Camp Section within the ANZBA webpage.
