Phase 3: Feedback (facilitated learning)

Topic Progress:
Feedback

Feedback is important to provide to participants involved in simulation education events. Feedback is used to give direction and appraisal of a participant’s knowledge, skills, or behaviours. It can be positive or negative, but should be delivered as to provide constructs for future performance.

Any feedback on performance should relate directly to the objectives of the course.1 This will provide participants with relevant, meaningful feedback, and will allow the facilitator to reflect on how well the course supported the development of specific skills, knowledge, or behaviours.
