Welcome to the Simulation Provider course
This blended Simulation Provider course includes an online component and a face to face workshop.
The aim of this course is to provide the fundamental knowledge and skills required to design, deliver and support simulation and scenario based learning activities in a healthcare environment.
This online course is made up of six core modules and accompanying manikin guides. Before you can attend the face to face workshop you must first complete all modules and guides, as outlined on the completion requirements page.
Module 1:
Fundamentals
Understand what simulation is, the legislative requirements and the importance of immersion.
Module 2:
Education Theory
Apply principles of adult learning to the design and delivery of simulation education events.
Module 3:
Principles of Simulation
Outline the essential components required to deliver an effective simulation event.
Module 4:
Resources
Identify resources to enhance the delivery of a simulation based education event.
Module 5:
Simulation Education Event Design
Apply principles of instructional design in the development of simulation based education.
Module 6:
CSDS Online Tools
Understand the functions associated with CSDS Central online tools.
