Delivery
On the day of the event
The role of the facilitator during a simulation based education event is to:
- ensure simulation event is delivered according to plan,
- create a safe learning environment, and
- ensure effective feedback occurs.
All faculty should have a clear understanding of the assessment tools prior to delivery to ensure everyone involved is aware of the skills being assessed.
Following the event
The aim of evaluation is to collect and analyse information from feedback and outcomes achieved, to continuously improve how the course is delivered and managed. All feedback, whether received by forms or informal discussions, should be documented so it can be evaluated both short and long term.
