Adult Airway Management (LD)

Welcome to Adult Airway Management.

Airway management is essential when a victim is unconscious, develops an obstructed airway or needs rescue breathing. This course will provide you with the skills, knowledge and techniques required in the maintenance of an airway. It is a blended course that consists of both an eLearning and a face-to-face module.

This eLearning module must be completed before you progress to the practical face-to-face module.

In this course the person requiring airway management will be referred to as the ‘victim’. This terminology is consistent with terminology used in the Australian and New Zealand Committee on Resuscitation (ANZCOR) guidelines.

The learning objectives and outcomes below cover the entire course, but each module (eLearning and face-to-face) addresses different components of the objectives and outcomes.
