Orientation to Safety
Welcome to the Orientation to Safety Course for all Metro North Hospital and Health Service (MNHHS) staff.
This short course will take approximately 10 minutes to complete. At Metro North we place quality care, especially patient safety, above all other aims.
Objectives and outcomes
This module aims to increase awareness of the systems, resources and procedures in place to support staff in providing safe and high quality care.
Learning outcomes
On completion of this module, staff will be able to:
- Describe their roles and responsibilities in relation to safety and quality.
- Outline how data from adverse events and feedback can improve patient safety.
- Report a clinical or workplace incident.
- Access policies, procedures, protocols and guidelines to guide every day practice.
- Raise a concern or risk openly about patient safety.
