    Airway Management Procedures

The following airway management procedures may be performed:

  • Bag-mask ventilation
    Warning: Do not provide artificial respiration to the patient simulator using oxygen enriched air or flammable gases.
  • Orotracheal intubation
  • Nasotracheal intubation
  • Transtracheal intubation
  • Needle/Surgical cricothyrotomy

The following information is automatically registered in the ALS Simulator session log:

  • Detection of head tilt, chin lift and jaw thrust
  • CPR started; stopped
  • Ventilation started ; stopped
  • Palpation of carotid, brachial and radial pulses
  • Manual NBP performed
