Usage reporting requirements
Equipment usage is an important key indicator for CSDS.
The data collected helps to support
- service plan and budget for repairs and service of the equipment,
- financial accountability for recurrent funding of purchasing and maintaining equipment and
- distribution to ensure that equipment is sent to where it is needed.
Log Equipment Usage
- Go to www.csds.qld.edu.au
- Log into your CSDS account
- Click on Equipment
- Click on New Usage Event
- Enter Usage Event Title
- Choose the relevant Discipline
- Confirm Location of Event
- Set Date of the Event
- Set the Duration of the Event, taking into consideration of set up time and pack down time. For example, a 4hr course would be logged as 5hr Usage. An 8hr course would be logged as 10hr usage.
- Select Simulation Coordinators involved in the Event
- Add equipment under the Equipment Used window
- Enter the Asset Number, click on Equipment and check the box that matches the asset number
- Click Done
- Click Submit once all the fields are completed
To view logged usage by clicking on Equipment, scroll down to Usage Log Events.
