Intercostal Catheter Insertion – ICC
Welcome to the Intercostal Catheter Insertion online course.
This course aims to provide knowledge and skills in the insertion of a large bore intercostal catheter. It is to be used to support current clinical training, not to replace it.
Included in your course registration is 12 months access to this online learning, as well as, an education pack which will be dispatched upon registration and payment of this course. For a more immersive and engaging experience we suggest waiting until you receive your education pack before commencing.
Included in the education pack:
- a Intercostal Catheter Insertion Training Kit to practice skills
- instructions and the AR label for accessing the augmented reality (AR) demonstration on how to insert a large bore ICC.
The following equipment is required to practice your skills, but are not included in the education pack:
- Scalpel
- Intercostal Catheter
- Kellys forceps
