Module 1 provides an understanding of the concept of contact tracing to prevent and control the spread of notifiable conditions, the roles and responsibilities of a Contact Tracing Officer and the legislative framework that governs contact tracing.
Module 2 – Contact tracing workflow
Module 2 provides an overview of contact tracing processes and illustrates how cases and contacts are interviewed as part of the contact tracing for any notifiable condition.
Module 3 - Communication skills for contact tracing
Module 3 is designed for maximum interactivity and teaches important communication skills and techniques required to successfully conduct interviews with cases and contacts. This module also teaches how to handle challenging conversations during contact tracing for any notifiable condition.
Module 4 - Contact tracing for COVID-19
Module 4 explores the COVID-19 pandemic, terminology, how COVID-19 cases and contacts are managed, and how to conduct contact tracing interviews for COVID-19.
Module 5 - Contact tracing for COVID-19 in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities
Module 5 has been developed as an education resource for those who are new to contact tracing in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and want to gain a basic understanding of the key characteristics of discrete Indigenous communities and some of the principles and challenges of contact tracing in these communities.
Module 6 - Contact tracing for COVID-19 in a hospital setting
Module 5 has been developed as an education resource for those who are new to contact tracing in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and want to gain a basic understanding of the key characteristics of discrete Indigenous communities and some of the principles and challenges of contact tracing in these communities.
