The following skills and procedures can be performed
- Head tilt/Chin lift
- Jaw thrust w/articulated jaw
- Cricoid pressure and manipulation
If the upper airway obstruction is actived, head tilt, chin lift and jaw thrust is required to open the airways.
The Patient Simulator may be ventilated by normal and emergency methods
- Variable lung resistance
- Cyanosis
The following Patient Simulator features indicate incorrect tube placement
- Bag-mask ventilation
- Warning: Simbaby’s Manufactures warn not to provide artificial respiration to the patient simulator using oxygen enriched air or flammable gases as this may cause a potential fire hazard
