Simpad System

  1. Connect Link Box to Manikin Cable
  2. Ensure battery is connected to Link Box and charged
  3. Luer lock the BP tubing to Link Box (if required)
  4. Turn on the Link Box & Simpad
  5. When a connection is made between the Link Box and Simpad, the Link Box will display a solid green light on the Power LED and a solid blue light on the Wi-Fi LED
  6. Check the Simpad to Link Box connection by inspecting the icons on the upper right corner of the Simpad
  7. If a simulated patient monitor is required
    1. first turn on Patient Monitor PC
    2. click the Wi-Fi icon on the bottom right of the Windows Task Bar and ensure a connection with SimLink
    3. the software may start automatically at this point; if not select the LLEAP application from the Windows desktop
    4. click on the Patient Monitor icon
    5. click the appropriate Link Box listed under the Patient Simulator window
    6. connection with the Link Box is now established and the Patient Monitor software will appear

 

 

Filling the Thigh Air Tank

  1. Attach the provided air pump to the Schrader valve located laterally on the posterior of the right thigh.(Photo 8)
  2. Fill the air container using the air pump to120 psi.

    NOTE: An over pressure release valve is included inside the thigh and will be activated at pressure above 10 Bar (150 psi).This valve has a built in reset mechanism.

  3. Detach air pump from the Schrader valve.
